Happy Memorial day to everyone!! As we're all remembering and thinking of our loved ones and fallen heroes, I know that this is also a weekend of grilling and backyard barbecues. Here's a ridiculously simple recipe to add to your festivities!
A very common burger on most restaurant menus is some sort of smokehouse burger. Here's my super simple take on the popular indulgence. Not too much to do and plenty to taste!
SMOKEY BBQ BURGER
- Ground beef
- House seasoning blend (Garlic powder, seasoned salt, salt, and black pepper)
- A1 Steak sauce
- Liquid Smoke
- Cheese (American or Cheddar are the most commonly used but use your favorite)
- BBQ sauce (Again your own recipe or favorite brand)
- French Fried Onions (French's or any other canned crunchy variety)
- Toasted buns
All of the ingredients are to personal taste. If using a charcoal/woodfire grill, omit the liquid smoke. Also remember that when using liquid smoke a little goes a long way.
Combine the first four ingredients and then grill to desire temperature.
Build your burger on toasted buns and desired toppings and enjoy!
