My wonderful mother has tried relentlessly for years to perfect the classic meatloaf. Many of these attempts haven't ended well. Too greasy, too dry, or the whole thing would just fall apart. Well, let me just say, a classic truly is a classic. Mom grabbed up the old, ragged copy of her "Betty Crocker" Cookbook circa 1973(also the year I was born. Just sayin') and followed the recipe to the letter. Keep in mind folks, my Mom isn't a cookbook type of person. But, this time her aim was true! With stern determination she made out her list and then proceeded to come home and make a delicious classic meal from a classic cookbook.
