I fully believe that when you feel and look better, you act and live better! In November I will celebrate the one year anniversary of writing this blog. This is a true feat for me considering I usually allow my interest to pitter out after a while. It will also mark my 39th birthday and the ridiculous nearly 40lb weight gain that has occurred over the past year and a half. I can give more excuses than anyone I know about the how and why I put the weight on. "I'm writing and reviewing things about food and eating!" "I'm depressed" "I don't really do a whole lot so who am I impressing?" The list goes on and on and on! The bottom line is, I HAVE ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN! So these crazy reasons I have for not doing something about it are just crazy reasons!
I have been very persistent in looking for fantastic new recipes and foods that will work to take the weight off the same way that the mindless eating has helped to pack the pounds on! Not to mention how much better and how much more energy you have when you start doing things the healthy way! We all know it whether we want to admit it or not HEALTHY IS HAPPY & HAPPY IS HEALTHY!
As promised in earlier blogs, I am now armed with a great camera to FINALLY be able to photograph some of the recipes that the cookbooks insist on not showing! We all know that you eat with your eyes first! I think every recipe should come with a photo of the finished product! I am going to start with a recipe that I have cooked up & am going to be posting the picture and review on the next blog entry!
